We are not meant to live this life alone. Nor is it possible to build a business without a community of support who are cheering you on, encouraging you, guiding you, and are providing support in areas where you are in need. It’s like raising kiddos; it takes a village! As a coach, I will walk alongside you and help you build your community to support you and your entrepreneurial dreams.
I believe that true freedom comes from owning your business and being your own boss. I believe everyone should own their own business in order to be free and fulfilled. Having the freedom to choose your work, control your schedule, decide on your business scope and scale, decide who you work with and surround yourself with, have the ability to make the decisions, and control how you help the world is the ultimate freedom.
We get one chance at this life. One chance. We are not meant to keep living in fear, in the comfortable, in the safe zone. If you have a desire to own your own business and grow it into something that serves you and your vision for your life, now is the time! Take the leap. Get started. Take action! There will never be a good time. There will never be any guarantees. This is NOT a rehearsal. We do not get an infinite amount of time to live on our own terms. What do you want to do with this one precious life you were gifted?
Doing the right thing drives my life and my business. I will do the right by you, other women entrepreneurs, my community, my family, and even those who don’t do right by me. Acting with integrity is being honest and holding strong moral principles. When you know who you are and what you believe/what your values are, it is always easier to do the right thing. Doing the right thing for yourself, your business, your customers, and staying true to who you are will always lead you down the right path.
I believe that you have everything you need inside of you already to build a business and a life that you love! Yes, there are always things to learn. Building a business is mostly about courage, rather than about knowledge and skills/tools. When you “know” and “believe” that you are capable, you will be able to move forward boldly and bravely. You are so capable! You are capable of accomplishing everything that you set your heart and mind to!
Stories are how we connect with each other. Sharing our stories is the best way to build our know, like, and trust factor. Learning to tell our stories as business owners allows us to build deep connections and build our community.
We also tell ourselves stories. The stories we tell ourselves are those that shape our success and our future. Understanding to be in tune with the stories you tell yourself and consciously choosing stories that serve you and shift the stories that don’t serve you is critical to business success.
“We run this Mother!” “We run this Mother” “We Run This Mother” Yes, Beyonce may have written these lyrics, but we all know that this is the TRUTH. We must rule our own worlds and businesses. Stepping into knowing this and dropping into this belief is essential for business. We OWN our lives and our businesses, and we must KNOW this to be able to create lives and busineses that matter and give back to the world!
Making money is great but that is a result of us working to make a difference in this world! We are driven by making a difference; not by money. Being driven by money will only sustain you so far. Create a business that is fulfilling; we do that by serving and making a difference in the lives of others.
I may have borrowed this from Seth Godin, but I think he will be okay with it. I believe that small business and entrepreneurs of small, independent businesses are the heart of America and the heart of community.
I truly believe that small is the new big. I believe small is always better than big when it comes to running business. Small keeps business nimble and gives you the ability to pivot when necessary. Small is the New Big does not mean playing small however. As a small business/entrepreneur, we can “play big” but remain true to ourselves and our communities, and help each other in ways that Big Business can not. Small businesses remain true to the heart of what business can do for yourself, your family, and your community, and allows for creative and lifestyle freedom.
When we work together, I believe that we are partners. We both put in the work and make a commitment to each other. I will be your partner, your guide in business, and as a fellow entrepreneur. Partnership requires a mutual respect, a mutually beneficial relationship, and one in which we don’t give up on each other. Choosing to partner together is strategic in nature. By working together in partnership, we will dive deep, work hard together, and will strive for long-term success!
The health of your business is directly related to your own personal and professional health as entrepreneurs. In order to be sucessful in business, you must take care of yourself. Ensuring self-care in our daily life is so important for your own health and the health of your business. Nurturing our own professional development in your craft as well as in your business ownership is also essential to your business health.
Realness is paramont. Be real and true and operate from your authentic self is necessary for business and personal success. Real talk is kind, accountable, responsible and pushes you out of hiding and encourages you and others to face the things you must. Real talk is about growth and service. I use real talk in my consulting/coaching business with you. Real talk is used in business to be straighforward, no nonsense, respectful of time and energy, and serves to move ideas, people, business and relationships forward.
